Building for Our Future

Zonta International District 4 Board Members invite YOU to a day of fun, food and fellowship while increasing your knowledge and skills. By the end of the day, this training will give you additional skills and strategies to help you succeed in your leadership role while improving your club. You will be able to connect a face to your District 4 support team and know the resources available to you. Clubs will have their wares available for purchase at the Zonta Marketplace.

District 4 will host three Area Meetings this year. These meetings are intended to improve your leadership skills and transform your club by attending one of the Workshop Breakout Sessions.

President’s Training

Be the leader you want to follow.

Presenter: Immediate Past Governor Lori Robinson

So, you want to be a great leader? Are you ready to be President of your club? Reinforce how to become a successful leader, improve communication, make better decisions and manage conflict. Gain insights on creating a healthy and productive club environment. Learn the tools and resources available to you and where to find them.

Treasurer’s Training

Fluent in Finance: Club accounts, ledgers and forms.

Presenter: Finance Chair Carol Spedding

Are you the new treasurer?  Thinking about becoming one or just interested in finances? This session will provide new and updated information on important topics, including a discussion of basic responsibilities to give you a better understanding of Zonta’s record-keeping and reporting requirements. It will also include a review of essential treasurer forms and where to find them on the ZI and District 4 websites.

Building Membership

Building more than an elevator speech. D4’s here to take you to the top.

Presenter: Lt. Governor-Elect Sheena Poole

Membership growth BEGINS with you! Discuss membership needs at the club, district and international levels. Attract new and engage current members more effectively through membership planning. Review the resources and tools currently available to you and tell us what you need from D4 to take your club straight to the top.

Generational Diversity

Membership Engagement: The Inside Scoop

Presenter: ZI Leadership Development Chair & D4 member Kathleen Douglass

What is your generation? Where do you and potential members fit in? This workshop will help participants better understand the various generations present in your club and community. Each generation has ideas and experiences to bring to the club. Take home tools for all generations to work and grow together to make your club the best it can be.

A Certificate will be given upon completion.

First of Three Workshops

Area 2 is hosting the first Workshop 2020.  A convenient & short travel distance for most members in Areas 1 & 2.  The Centre for Health & Safety Innovation is a beautiful venue for a day of learning, fellowship and meeting D4 board, committees and other club members in Area 1 & 2.

The workshop committee, on behalf of the Zonta Club of Brampton – Caledon will host an evening of fellowship for those members who would like to let us know they are coming in on Friday night.

Second of the Three Workshops

Visit the Oil City-Franklin Club

Area 6 is hosting the second Workshop 2020.  Join the ladies of Oil City-Franklin for a day of learning, fellowship and meeting D4 board, committees and other club members in Area 5 & 6.

Don’t forget to book your Zonta table to sell your club’s items and raise a few more dollars before the end of the year!

It will be worth the drive!

The Zonta Club of Oil City-Franklin will host an evening of fellowship for those members who would like to arrive Friday night.

Our Final Workshop

Visit the Hamburg-Orchard Park Club

Area 4 is hosting the third and final Workshop 2020.

Come to Orchard Park on Friday and visit the members of Hamburg-Orchard Park for a fun evening and get to know these delightful women a little better, including Governor Bonnie Clesse.

The Orchard Park Country Club is a beautiful setting overlooking the golf course and pools. Their food is delicious. We hope you will be able to join us for the workshop on Saturday, May 9th to learn and experience Zonta.  Add in a little shopping at the Zonta Club tables.
