DESCRIPTION:Join with the Zonta Cross Border Club to hear Joy Brown\, Peel Regional Police (Toronto)\, Advisor CSWB Projects and Initiatives will educate us on Human Trafficking. \n \nJoy Brown is a retired member of the Peel Regional Police Service.  She is currently assigned to Community Safety and Wellbeing Services for Peel Police as an Advisor.  She works with Community Partners to provide services to individuals\, families and communities that are at risk and works directly with victims/survivors of human trafficking. \nJoy is the former Chair of the Peel Human Trafficking Service Providers Committee.  The Committee has developed a Regional Protocol to address the needs of victims/survivors of Human Trafficking and provides community seminars/presentations/training to increase knowledge and awareness of the impact of human trafficking.

That tour went so well that the next summer McLachlan debuted Lilith Fair\, named after the Lilith of Jewish lore: Adam’s renegade first wife. Upon its emergence in 1997\, this revolutionary travelling music festival\, helmed by superstar Canadian singer-songwriter Sarah McLachlan and featuring exclusively women or women-led acts\, exploded the notion that popular music could only support a token quota of women’s voices.  It became the year’s top-grossing festival simply because the artists were so good. The Fair’s roster included Jewel\, Bonnie Raitt\, Erykah Badu\, Emmylou Harris\, Fiona Apple\, Tracy Chapman\, Sheryl Crow\, Suzanne Vega\, Indigo Girls\, and Pat Benatar. ​ \nThe documentary premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 13\, 2025.
