Mentor Program

two-girl-friends-clip-art-146861Zonta District 4 thinks that you have much to share and learn as members of Zonta and as professionals. In response to your requests for support for your professional development, we are launching a pilot (the first in the Zonta world) a formal mentoring program.

Through this program we hope:

  • To facilitate the transfer of information and knowledge
  • To provide a supportive and non-threatening learning and networking opportunity
  • To help build capacity for our members
  • To develop stronger relationships with Zonta as the service provider
  • To harness technology to facilitate
  • To develop leadership development advocates

We hope that this will:

  • Build a stronger Zonta brand loyalty
  • Lead by example
  • Develop a stronger, wider network for our members
  • Enable us to apply our mission of service and advocacy to our own members

How will we do this:

  • Promote program
  • Recruit Mentors and Learning Associates
  • Match ‘pairs’ based on applications
  • Conduct orientation
  • Check-ins
  • Evaluate program
  • Make recommendations for improvement

2015 – 2016 program timelines:

  • Mentor and learning associate applications deadline December 15, 2015
  • Matches orientation, January 2016
