The Zonta Club of Hamburg-Orchard Park donated 23 birthday bags to the Sts. Peter and Paul Outreach Center for their food pantry. These bags included a cake mix, frosting, decorations, candles, cupcake liners, pans and a grocery gift card to purchase items needed to prepare a birthday cake. These bags help families prepare a celebration for their child’s birthday.

We’d like to share our club’s experience in being able to continue In-Person Meetings. We were even able to induct three new members in person. Restaurants are unable to accommodate us but Banquet Facilities are familiar with serving occasional meetings. Member Donna Ketchum-Colletta, with Marianne Chiumento’s help, arranged for Michael’s Banquet Facility to serve us one agreed upon meal to all in a huge room with excellent distancing. The minimum of 20 reserved paid meals with salad, dessert, coffee & tea are delicious; service – excellent & each Zontian simply pays for her own wine. Of course, we wear masks except when seated & depend on each Zontian’s responsibility to only attend while healthy. We hope that by sharing our success story, we might help another club to be able to meet in person.
