On July 30, 2025, the Zonta Club of Kenmore partnered with Project Mona House to coordinate a free Family Fun Day at Lincoln Park in the Town of Tonawanda.

July 30th is World Day Against Trafficking in Persons and was chosen as the day to host this event to increase community awareness of the dangers of human trafficking in our community. Activities for children included lawn games, rock painting, balloon animals and face painting. Parents attended a presentation informing them about the pressing issue of human trafficking in the community. There were also information tables representing organizations grounded in similar issues including the Prevention Council of Erie County and the United States Attorney’s Office. Families enjoyed food and drinks as well as free raffle items.

The Zonta Club of Kenmore is hopeful that these types of educational events will help citizens understand they are not helpless and change can happen.
