Zonta Film Festival (ZFF) is an annual event in Uptown Waterloo that showcases award winning, inspiring and thought-provoking films, made by women, highlighting incredible stories and important global issues. This is the tenth year this wonderful event has been presented by the Zonta Club of Kitchener Waterloo. Proceeds from every ticket sold go to supporting local and global initiatives that improve the lives of women and girls. Past local funds have been directed to Sexual Assault Support Centre, YWCA and Community Justice Initiatives. Global funds have been provided for educating young women and girls around the world.
This year, in addition to the usual festival film screenings, there will be a special film event celebrating International Women’s Day #BreakTheBias, on the evening of day 2 of the festival, Thursday, April 28. The film Power Meri will be shown, along with individual charcuterie boxes served and a panel of local elite sports athletes will talk after the film. Tickets for Power Meri must be purchased in advance by April 26th.
