December 6 is a day of national tragedy in Canada. Twenty-six years ago, 14 women at l’École Polytechnique de Montréal were violently killed because they were women. To honour these women and the survivors from this tragedy, this day is now known as the Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women.

ZC of Hamilton 1 members, and a local girl guide troop with their leaders and volunteers, gathered at the Hamilton’s City Hall to remember and learn more about this day. Our Zonta Says No banner was displayed for a week from Dec 6th until Dec 12th.
