Afternoon Speaker
Daniela Giulietti
Director of Public Affairs, YWCA Hamilton
Bio:
Daniela Giulietti (she/her/elle) joined YWCA Hamilton in 2016, where she led the Elect More Women Conference that helped pave the way for City Council’s historic gender parity. Since then, she has focused her career on advancing gender equity and amplifying the voices of women and girls in leadership and decision-making.
As a strategic advisor and campaign leader for those holding elected office, Daniela has worked to ensure that women, gender-diverse people, and other marginalized communities are represented in public life.
In her current role as Director of Public Affairs at YWCA Hamilton, she leads advocacy efforts, strengthens relationships with government, and works to increase gender equity in public policy and budgeting.
She holds degrees in Labour Studies from McMaster University and an Honours Specialization in Social Justice from King’s College. Her academic work focused on building solidarity between community and institutions toward the influence of policy and government action.
