Thriving in a Changing World

Zonta International has committed to incorporating gender and climate justice as a pillar with Zonta Says NOW, with districts and clubs deciding how to bring that commitment to life.

Our program explores how we, as Zontians,  learn and prepare ourselves, our communities and our world to make us ready and resilient for climate/weather and other emergencies, and surviving, rebuilding and thriving during and after the emergencies.”

Climate Justice

Liz Koblyk from Vital Futures

How to move climate justice from an abstract idea to a visible issue strongly connected to Zonta’s core purpose: The workshop will focus on how Zonta can help women and girls thrive in an era of extreme weather and emergencies. Participants will better understand connections between gender and climate justice, and will begin identifying points of leverage that clubs can later prioritize and refine.
