Zonta Hamilton 1 awards Indigenous Student Award
Karin Eckart presents award to Devyn P. She is in Grade 10 and rises to challenges confronting us all. She is from Six Nations of the Grand but was raised in Hamilton. She is active in our community; volunteers with Hamilton Regional Indian Centre and is on the Indigenous student council for the local school district. Her heartfelt design for the “Every Child Matters” logo was chosen for use by the local school district.
The award was created in honour of the Zonta International Centennial Canadian recipient, Dr Beverly Jacob, a respected advocate for Indigenous Rights and Politics.
