At the September 21st Zonta meeting, the Owen Sound and Area club was fortunate to have a visit from Governor Sheena Poole. Four new members were inaugurated that evening. Welcome to Donna, Lin, Patti and Emily.
At the same meeting, Governor Sheena inducted this year’s new executive with Barb Fedy as President, Judy Suke as Vice President, Sandy Stevenson as Secretary and Ann Dumyn as Treasurer.
In addition to the four new members who joined the Owen Sound and Area Zonta club in September, the club celebrated another addition at our October 19th meeting. We were grateful to have Area 2 Director Anita Gatti join us to inaugurate our newest member Nancy. The club also acknowledged Past President Cindy Weir for her many years of leadership and dedication to Zonta.
November 16th Zonta Meeting. The Owen Sound and Area club members celebrated Zonta’s 103rd Birthday with a delicious birthday cake adorned with yellow roses. In true service, an amazing lot was gathered when members were asked to donate good used or new winter clothing for women in need. The coats, sweaters, hats, scarves and mittens/gloves will be put to good use as winter has arrived in full force this week here in Georgian Bay.
