Red Kettle Drive Donation

Barb Chase, left, a member of the Zonta Club of the Corry Area, presents a $500 check to Major Ron Heimbrock of the Corry Salvation for the organization’s annual Red Kettle Drive. The Zonta club donates the money as part of its service project, along with several other check presentations to Corry-area nonprofits in June.

Members of the Zonta Club of the Corry Area stand with their banner during their car/cash raffle Thursday, Dec. 12, at the American Legion in Corry to show that Zonta Says No to Violence Against Women. Members wore orange, which represents a brighter future where women and girls are free from violence; and purple, which is the color to symbolize awareness of domestic violence.

Reva Lowry, left, president of the Zonta Club of the Corry Area, presents a check for $10,000 to Marlene Cummings, center, who won the club’s car/cash raffle on Thursday. At right is Zonta club President Connie Cooper.
